Driving, travel, and mileage reimbursement. Educational programs. Growth and advancement opportunities. Responsibilities Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans. Regularly reassess the effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences. Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and educational resources. Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, service recipients, and family members. Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care, and enhance patient outcomes. Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current, unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you practice. Current Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification in accordance with state regulations. One year or more of work experience as a physical therapist preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury. Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform patient lifting, moving, or transferring that may involve lifting up to 100 pounds following safety procedures. Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and capability of walking or standing for extended periods. Ability to push/pull, bend/stoop, reach, kneel, and position frequently as required. May be required to pass a health screen or examination prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on local or state regulations.
