Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Inpatient Rehabilitation

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed adult Medical Surgical unit with no telemetry monitoring
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 1:6 ratio, with potential flex to 1:7
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and multi-trauma
• Perform peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, nasal cannula application, and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain and follow isolation precautions in accordance with facility protocols
• Float to Medical Surgical floors at an affiliated nearby facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia State RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license considered only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum experience in Medical Surgical and Inpatient Rehabilitation nursing settings
• Proficiency with peripheral line care, oxygen delivery systems, and isolation precautions
• Ability to work at least one holiday per 13-week contract period
• Weekend availability required (every other weekend or equivalent within a 6-week scheduling block)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certification
• CPI Blue certification highly preferred
• Experience charting in EPIC
