Our Electrical Career Academy provides hands-on training designed to prepare students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to enter the electrical industry. We are looking for a highly motivated, relationship-driven Employment Advisor to help expand our employer network and strengthen our student placement outcomes. The Opportunity The Employment Advisor serves as a critical connection between TRIO Education, our students and graduates, and the electrical industry.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, meeting new people, developing partnerships, networking, and creating opportunities. You will be responsible for developing relationships with electrical contractors and employers, understanding their workforce needs, identifying hiring opportunities, and connecting qualified TRIO graduates with employment. This is not a desk-only position . The successful candidate will be comfortable making calls, sending outreach emails, attending meetings, visiting employers, networking in the community, and actively building relationships. Your primary goal will be to build a sustainable employer pipeline that creates consistent hiring opportunities for TRIO graduates while positioning TRIO Education as a trusted workforce development partner within the electrical industry. What you will do_ Employer Partnership Development You will actively build and maintain relationships with employers throughout the electrical and construction industries. Responsibilities include: Identify and develop relationships with electrical contractors, employers, staffing partners, and industry organizations. Conduct proactive outreach through phone calls, emails, networking, meetings, and in-person visits. Schedule and lead employer meetings to introduce TRIO Education and our trained talent pipeline. Develop a strong understanding of employer hiring needs, workforce challenges, and future staffing projections. Build relationships with business owners, operations leaders, project managers, hiring managers, recruiters, and other key decision-makers. Develop new employer partnership opportunities that support student employment and organizational growth. Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with employer partners. Create opportunities for employers to engage directly with TRIO students through interviews, hiring events, classroom visits, and presentations. Represent TRIO Education at industry events, workforce meetings, networking opportunities, and community events. Build and maintain an active employer partnership pipeline. Student Placement and Employment Support You will help students successfully transition from training into employment. Responsibilities include: Meet with students and graduates to understand career goals, employment interests, availability, and job readiness. Identify employment opportunities that align with student skills and employer needs. Coordinate student referrals, interviews, introductions, and hiring opportunities. Track student interviews, job offers, employment outcomes, and placement status. Follow up with students throughout the job search process. Work closely with the Director of Education & Student Experience to identify students approaching graduation and prepare them for employment opportunities. Help students understand employer expectations and workplace readiness. Assist with resume development, interview preparation, and professional communication as needed. Ensure students are prepared to successfully transition into employment. Employer Account Management Building the relationship doesn’t stop after a placement. You will: Maintain ongoing relationships with employer partners. Gather employer feedback regarding TRIO graduates and their performance. Identify opportunities for employers to hire additional TRIO students and graduates. Address employer concerns and communicate feedback to internal leadership. Develop strategies to increase repeat hiring from employer partners. Maintain accurate employer profiles, hiring history, contact information, and workforce needs. Strengthen employer satisfaction and long-term engagement with TRIO Education. You will help TRIO Education stay connected to the changing needs of the electrical workforce. Responsibilities include: Monitor workforce trends and hiring needs within the electrical and construction industries. Identify workforce shortages and employer expansion opportunities. Build relationships with industry associations, workforce organizations, and community partners. Communicate employer feedback and workforce needs to organizational leadership. Support strategic employer partnership initiatives. Help position TRIO Education as a trusted workforce development and talent pipeline partner. Participate in strategic conversations related to workforce growth, employer engagement, and student employment outcomes. Data Tracking and Management Strong follow-through and organization are essential in this role. You will: Maintain accurate placement and employment records. Track employer engagement, job opportunities, interviews, offers, and placements. Maintain accurate employer and placement information within company systems. Prepare weekly and monthly employer partnership and placement reports. Track placement outcomes and time-to-placement metrics. Monitor employer partnership activity and pipeline development. Support reporting requirements related to workforce programs, grants, and organizational outcomes. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in workforce development, employer relations, business development, recruiting, staffing, sales, career services, or relationship management Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with external partners and decision-makers Strong organizational and follow-through skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Comfortable conducting outreach, meetings, presentations, and in-person employer visits Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Comfortable using CRM, database, and tracking systems Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: Electrical contractors Construction or skilled trades Employer partnerships Recruiting or job placement Vocational education or career training Existing relationships within the construction or electrical industry Schedule and Work Attire Full-time position In-office position Some evening and weekend availability may be required for events, employer engagement activities, and student programming Occasional travel between locations may be required as TRIO Education expands Business casual attire Compensation and Benefits $65,000 annually This position is eligible to participate in the company’s bonus program based on organizational performance. Bonus eligibility may consider: Company financial performance Organizational goals Compliance with company processes and standards Individual performance alone does not guarantee bonus eligibility.
