Insurance Underwriter for AI Model Training [Remote]

As an Insurance Underwriter specializing in Excess & Specialty, you will leverage your extensive underwriting expertise to evaluate complex commercial and specialty risk scenarios within the US insurance market. Your contributions will play a crucial role in shaping the training of next-generation AI systems, providing high-quality, real-world insights that enhance how models learn and perform. Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate complex commercial and specialty risk scenarios, focusing on excess and specialty lines, including liability and umbrella products.
• Analyze, interpret, and structure coverage, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Assess policy language and provide nuanced feedback on policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
• Identify risk factors and apply sound underwriting judgment to support the development of AI training data.
• Collaborate effectively in a remote environment, communicating clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Share insights on evolving trends, emerging risks, and innovations within specialty and excess insurance lines.

• 4, 5+ years of hands-on underwriting experience in commercial lines, specialty insurance, excess casualty, or umbrella products.
• In-depth understanding of commercial P&C, liability coverage, and policy evaluation best practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in policy interpretation, insurance compliance, and comprehensive coverage analysis.
• Experience working with insurance operations in complex or specialty risk environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate nuanced underwriting concepts.
• Proven track record within the US insurance market or with US-based clients and frameworks.

• Prior exposure to emerging risk types, complex liability structures, or innovative coverage solutions within excess & specialty lines.
• Experience collaborating on cross-functional teams or contributing to process improvement initiatives in insurance operations.

$55 - $70 per hour.
