Role Overview
Apply advanced physics research and teaching expertise to develop, evaluate, and improve physics content that trains next-generation AI systems. This remote, contractor role focuses on ensuring scientific accuracy, pedagogical clarity, and research rigor in problems, solutions, and explanatory material used to teach and evaluate AI models. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review physics problems, worked solutions, and explanatory content across multiple sub-disciplines.
- Analyze and evaluate AI model outputs for scientific validity, clarity, and educational value.
- Provide high-level feedback on complex research topics and theoretical concepts.
- Assess and refine AI-generated explanations for accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
- Collaborate remotely with project leads and fellow experts to standardize best practices in content review.
- Produce clear, concise written feedback and participate in asynchronous discussions about project progress and improvements.
- Leverage teaching and research experience to ensure authenticity and rigor in all deliverables.
- Required skills: physics, research, teaching, PhD-level expertise.
- PhD in Physics preferred, or currently pursuing a PhD with advanced research and teaching experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in theoretical and applied physics domains.
- Strong record of teaching, curriculum development, or mentoring in academic settings.
- Experience publishing and critically reviewing scientific research.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and clarity.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
- Prior involvement with interdisciplinary projects or educational technology initiatives is a plus.
- Engagement type: independent contractor.
- Location: fully remote, asynchronous collaboration expected.
- Work style: independent contributions combined with remote collaboration with project leads and other experts.
Pay rate: $70.00 to $90.00 per hour.
Eligibility- PhD in Physics, or currently pursuing a PhD with advanced research and teaching experience, is required or strongly preferred.
- No prior AI experience is required; domain expertise in physics, research, and teaching is the primary qualification.
