Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience or training working with middle school students with varying exceptionalities
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, compliance, and implementation
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and related service providers
• Organizational skills for managing caseload, paperwork, and classroom activities
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Positive, patient, and flexible mindset in dynamic settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Provide direct instruction and academic support in both small group and inclusive classroom settings
• Modify curriculum and assignments based on student needs and goals
• Collaborate actively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and therapists
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and participation
• Track and report student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Engage with families and caregivers to promote student success and maintain consistent communication
