Spanish Speaking Mental Health Clinician - Master's LevelPosition Summary The Mental Health Clinician provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health services to children, adults, and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of trauma. Services may be provided aboard Healing To You’s mobile clinics, at community partner locations, in the Wilmington clinic, through telehealth, and in other approved community settings. The Mental Health Clinician works collaboratively with medical providers, clinical staff, shelter personnel, community partners, and referral agencies to support coordinated, survivor-centered care. The position reports administratively to the Chief Executive Officer and receives clinical supervision from the Clinical Director or another qualified clinical supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Services Provide individual, family, and group mental health services to children and adults. Conduct clinical assessments, screenings, risk assessments, and ongoing evaluations. Develop individualized treatment and service plans in collaboration with clients and, when appropriate, parents or caregivers. Provide trauma-informed counseling, crisis intervention, safety planning, psychoeducation, advocacy, case management, and care coordination. Help clients address trauma-related symptoms, emotional and behavioral concerns, family relationships, parenting challenges, coping skills, problem‑solving, and overall emotional well‑being. Review assessment and screening results with clients and caregivers, develop appropriate goals and action plans, and evaluate progress at required intervals. Support families in strengthening protective factors and reducing risks associated with child abuse, neglect, family violence, and other adverse experiences. Provide developmentally appropriate services that recognize the effects of trauma on children, caregivers, and family relationships. Provide infant massage education when appropriately trained and authorized. Complete developmental or functional screenings within the clinician’s scope of practice and coordinate referrals for occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language services, Regional Center services, and other specialized care when indicated. Provide services in accordance with applicable laws, ethical standards, payer requirements, contractual obligations, and Healing To You policies and procedures. Care Coordination and Collaboration Coordinate services with medical providers, shelter staff, schools, the Department of Children and Family Services, Regional Centers, and other referral or service partners as appropriate and with proper authorization. Participate in interdisciplinary case consultation and coordinated care planning. Assist clients with referrals, systems navigation, and connections to community‑based services and resources. Build and maintain respectful, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, community partners, and other stakeholders. Support the effective operation of mobile and community‑based clinics, including client scheduling, service coordination, clinical supplies, and communication with partner‑site staff. Documentation and Quality Assurance Complete accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation in the electronic health record. Maintain complete and current client records in compliance with legal, ethical, contractual, and organizational requirements. Complete treatment plans, progress notes, assessments, outcome measures, discharge documentation, and other required records within established timeframes. Participate in peer review, chart review, quality assurance, and program evaluation activities. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable privacy laws. Fulfill mandated reporting responsibilities, including reporting suspected child abuse, dependent‑adult or elder abuse, and threats of harm when required by law. Training and Organizational Responsibilities Participate in individual and group supervision, reflective supervision, case conferences, clinical consultation, and required staff meetings. Attend required agency, program, community, and County meetings. Participate in training and certification activities related to evidence‑based and evidence‑informed practices. Maintain all required professional registrations, licenses, certifications, and continuing education. Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility in scheduling to meet client and program needs. Perform other job‑related duties consistent with the position’s responsibilities and the employee’s scope of practice. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. Current California registration or licensure in good standing in one of the following categories: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Experience providing clinical assessments and individual, family, or group mental health services to children or adults. Knowledge of trauma‑informed care, clinical assessment, crisis intervention, treatment planning, case management, and community‑based behavioral health services. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish effective therapeutic and professional relationships with clients, caregivers, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to work independently while participating effectively in an interdisciplinary team. Ability to provide services in the limited and shared workspace of a mobile clinic. Ability to maintain accurate and timely electronic health records. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and electronic health record systems. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to mobile clinic sites and other service locations. Ability to satisfy all applicable background‑check, Live Scan, and driving‑record requirements. Bilingual Spanish and English Preferred Qualifications Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, community violence, or other forms of trauma. Experience providing services in shelters, mobile clinics, community‑based programs, or other nontraditional clinical settings. Experience working with young children and caregivers. Training in evidence‑based or evidence‑informed practices such as Child‑Parent Psychotherapy, EMDR, Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma‑informed play therapy, or Seeking Safety. Completion of California’s 40‑hour domestic violence advocate training or willingness to complete the training after hire. Completion of sexual assault counselor/advocate training or willingness to complete the training after hire. Position Schedule and Compensation This is a part‑time position consisting of 24 hours per week over three days. The schedule may vary based on program and client needs. There is potential to increase to full time (36 hours).
