Inside Sales Representative

Handling incoming customer inquiries: Answering phone calls, emails, and online chat inquiries from outside sales, contractors, builders, and homeowners regarding product availability, pricing, and technical specifications.

Generating quotes: Preparing detailed quotes based on customer needs, including product selection, quantities, and pricing.

Order processing: Entering customer orders accurately into the system and coordinating delivery logistics.

Customer relationship management: Maintaining ongoing communication with existing customers, addressing concerns, and identifying potential upselling opportunities.

Product knowledge: Staying updated on the latest building products, applications, and industry trends to effectively answer customer questions.

Collaboration with outside sales team: Supporting the outside sales team by providing product information and handling customer inquiries while they are on site visits.

Skills needed:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detailed knowledge of building materials and construction practices
• Proficiency with CRM software to manage customer data and sales pipeline
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
• Positive, friendly attitude and works well with others
• Willingness to assist others and be flexible

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in custom lumber sales, building materials, or a related field (cabinetry, doors)
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Attention to detail
• Basic math skills (Able to read a tape measure)
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
