Senior Accountant

Harmer has partnered with our client in their search for a Staff/Senior Accountant. This role will support the month-end close and general ledger accounting across multiple operating entities, with additional exposure to fixed assets, inventory and cost accounting. This is a hands-on accounting position for someone who enjoys owning multiple areas of the close and working closely with both Accounting and Operations. Opportunity Highlights: Broad accounting exposure across multiple operating entities Opportunity to partner closely with Accounting and Operations leadership Growing organization with a nationwide footprint Strong benefits package and 401(k) company match Opportunity for continued growth and increased responsibility Hybrid Schedule What You’ll Be Doing: Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations Prepare and maintain balance-sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules Maintain fixed asset accounting for equipment, rental fleet and other capital assets Record and reconcile monthly accruals, including insurance, property tax, franchise tax and other operating expenses Support inventory and cost accounting, including costing analysis, WIP, cycle counts and inventory reconciliations Research inventory and general ledger discrepancies and resolve identified variances Maintain lease schedules and record related monthly accounting activity Ensure transactions are accurately reflected within the general ledger and applicable sub-ledgers Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for the annual audit Support sales tax reporting and related accounting processes Partner with Accounting, Finance and Operations teams to resolve accounting issues Assist with process improvements, accounting documentation and system initiatives What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Strong knowledge of GAAP 3+ years of hands-on month-end close experience, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations General ledger and balance-sheet reconciliation experience Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr Harmer
