Pay: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Shop Welder for a fabrication client in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced welder with a strong background in MIG welding and steel fabrication . The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble steel components according to specifications.
- Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, and cleaning as needed.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- 2-3 years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with carbon steel.
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Reliable work history with strong attention to detail.
- Must successfully pass a hands-on MIG weld test prior to hire.
- Experience with steel fitting and fabrication.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
