We are proudly part of Japan Post — PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Inter-company reconciliation review, analysis and dispute resolution (30+ entities globally). Manage intercompany recharges. P&L Expense Account Analysis. Balance sheet and PL account reconciliations (as assigned). Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for STP processes. Reporting for finance team and sales team. Automation of reporting and processes. Other financial duties as required by the manager. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Ability to occasionally lift to 10 lbs. required. Ability to talk and hear required. Ability to perform repetitive motions required. Ability to occasionally move inside the office. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time. Ability to move or position self to reach, lift, climb, balance, stoop and crouch required. Ability to read PC screens; detect colour coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Essential Minimum Qualifications BS in Accounting or Finance Preferred Qualifications 2+ years in global forwarding or a large global organization _____________________________________________________________________________________________ SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB Technical (Doing skills – job-related knowledge, policies, procedures, techniques) The successful candidate should have experience as a staff accountant or similar role. Thorough knowledge of proper accounting procedures. Familiarity with financial accounting statements. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc. Experience with general ledger functions. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills. Client (internal and external) focus with strong service ethic and skills. Methodical, planned and organized with high attention to detail and good time management. Knowledge of freight forwarding (preferred) Prior experience with Cargo Wise One (CW1) (preferred) Business (Understanding of business concepts, knowledge of the organisation, profitability.) Results-orientated and resilient. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Strong business acumen. Human Relations (People skills in servicing, influencing, developing and leading others.) Interpersonal / Communication skills. Team worker with a natural tendency towards collaboration. Pay Transparency: In compliance with applicable state and local laws, the salary range for this position varies based on the work location. Please review the ranges below: Expected pay range: $70,080 - $80,000 Base Salary + 5% Bonus Target These ranges represent the minimum and maximum salary the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position, based on the location where the work will be performed. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.” Remote Work Considerations: If the position allows remote work, the salary range applicable to the employee's home location will apply.
