Accountant Trainee

Job TitleAccountant TraineeJob Description and DutiesUnder the close supervision of an Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the incumbent is responsible for completing duties related to processing statewide travel expenses and other employee claims, resolving travel payment issues and transaction errors, utilizing section databases, electronic spreadsheets and electronic data upload processes to facilitate timely and accurate payments, and completing expenditure adjustments. In addition, the position serves in a back-up capacity for other travel related accounting functions. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee's designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions.
