Staff Accountant

Job Description We are recruiting for a Staff Accountant to join a long standing and growing company in Sacramento, Ca. Our client offers advancement opportunities, generous medical, dental/vision plans, 401(k) with 8% match, 4 weeks PTO, 5 days accrued paid sick leave, 12 paid holidays, and a chance to join a dynamic finance team.
- Salary: $75,000-$85,000 DOE
- Hybrid - Downtown Sacramento (2 days remote)
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely vendor payments
- Collaborate with leadership to streamline financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
