Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary


Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage and oversee key aspects of the accounts payable processes. The primary responsibilities of this role include month-end close, accounts payable management, and treasury compliance, along with annual and specialized tasks.


Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly drug inventory and miscellaneous cash journal entries by Day 1.
• Compile AP accruals based on corporate reporting.
• Review and code invoices for accuracy, including route codes, GL coding, and location.
• Manage vendor setups, resolve discrepancies, and track payment status.
• Maintain the AP workflow system and collaborate with practice management on site-specific coding.
• Coordinate with AP Customer Service to ensure timely entries and corrections.
• Process escheatment checks, manage lockbox transfers, and record PLLC benefit deposits.
• Prepare and distribute monthly invoices to relevant stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality of practice and patient data.
• Support annual drug inventory audits and distribute physician K-1 forms.
• Foster collaborative partnerships across departments and execute other duties as assigned to support the accounting function.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ Years of AP experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Associates Degree (Preferred)
• Healthcare Experience (Preferred)

Skills

• Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Additional Requirements

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
