Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Previous experience teaching students with disabilities preferred

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individualized student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, administrators, and support staff
• Deliver engaging instruction to students with varying exceptionalities in small group and/or resource settings
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to promote academic and social growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure students’ needs are met across curricula
• Communicate regularly with families, providing updates and advocating for student success
• Maintain accurate records and support compliance with special education policies and procedures
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student participation and confidence
