Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Active and valid Special Education teaching credential
• Experience working with students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
• Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
• Familiarity with developing, implementing, and evaluating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and adapt instructional materials to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and ensure inclusive practices
• Conduct assessments and monitor students’ academic, social, and behavioral progress
• Hold and participate in IEP meetings, documenting goals and progress clearly
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support as specified in IEPs
• Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom environment
• Engage with families to build partnerships that support each student’s success
