About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Media Sales to take on a pivotal leadership role in the growth, monetization, and strategic development of its media business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving commercial media initiatives, including advertising sales, distribution partnerships, and media strategy, with a focus on optimizing revenue for the company's portfolio of premium live sports content. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in sports media, television, streaming, digital media, advertising, distribution, or related industries, and a proven track record in developing and executing media business strategies that deliver substantial revenue growth. Key responsibilities for the VP of Media Sales include supporting the EVP in the execution of the North American media strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and leading strategic negotiations to expand the company's media rights and commercial footprint. The role demands a strong understanding of sports media rights, advertising sales, streaming economics, and platform monetization, as well as the ability to build and manage senior relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have deep industry connections, a strong financial acumen, and the ability to lead a high-performing team. An entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sports are essential, as is the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions and global teams.
