Job Summary
LJ's Cleaning Solutions is seeking an experienced Fleet Detailer Assistant Supervisor to support daily fleet cleaning operations for city buses. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for assisting with team supervision, quality inspections, employee training, and ensuring buses are properly cleaned and ready for service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Supervisor with daily fleet detailing operations
- Assign tasks and help oversee the fleet detailing team
- Monitor employee attendance, clock-ins, breaks, and productivity
- Perform quality inspections on completed buses
- Clean and detail the interior and exterior of city buses
- Sweep, mop, sanitize, clean windows, and remove trash
- Train and support new and existing employees
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and PPE
- Communicate with supervisors, management, and team members
- Assist with resolving daily operational or employee concerns
- Ensure OSHA and company safety procedures are followed
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Resume required for consideration
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of fleet detailing or vehicle cleaning experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and E-Verify
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing steps
- Ability to work in tight or confined spaces
- Ability to lift and move 30–40 lbs
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely wear required PPE
