Day Club Director- Full Time Revere Court Memory Care seeks a Day Club Director who will oversee the Dementia-specific Day Club program. This is a rare opportunity for an initiative-taking and high energy person to be responsible for designing and executing the Day Club Program to enrich the physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of each participant in accordance with their individual preference. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive therapeutic recreation and wellness program designed to meet the cognitive, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual needs of participants living with dementia and other memory impairments. Plan and facilitate meaningful, person-centered activities that promote dignity, independence, engagement, socialization, and quality of life while honoring each participant’s individual preferences, history, and abilities. Create and maintain an innovative, well-balanced monthly activity calendar for a five-day-per-week Adult Day Program, incorporating cognitive stimulation, physical wellness, sensory engagement, music, art, educational opportunities, community involvement, and spiritual support. Ensure monthly activity calendars are completed and distributed by the first day of each month and daily schedules are updated and communicated effectively to participants, families, and team. Design and produce professional-quality newsletters, calendars, flyers, and promotional materials highlighting upcoming events, educational opportunities, celebrations, and community engagement activities. Organize and coordinate special events, seasonal celebrations, holiday programs, themed activities, and monthly birthday celebrations for participants and families. Assist with decorating and maintaining a warm, welcoming, and dementia-friendly environment throughout the year in alignment with seasonal themes, holidays, and community events. Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and recognize volunteers, entertainers, program leaders, religious professionals, instructors, and outside vendors to support a diverse and enriching activity program. Develop partnerships with community organizations, schools, churches, entertainers, and local resources to enhance programming and increase community involvement. Create engaging content, stories, and participant highlights for social media, marketing initiatives, newsletters, and press releases, including submitting high-quality photographs and program updates to Home Office in a timely manner. Observe, document, and communicate any changes in participants’ physical condition, cognitive status, mood, behaviors, or psychosocial well-being to the Resident Services Coordinator, Executive Director, nurse, and/or appropriate interdisciplinary team members. Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as requested, providing input regarding participant engagement, behavior patterns, preferences, and psychosocial needs. Conduct assessments and intake processes for all new participants, including gathering social histories, activity preferences, medical information, dietary needs, behavioral considerations, and required admission documentation. Maintain accurate participant files, assessments, attendance and participation records, incident documentation, dietary restrictions, allergies, adaptive needs, special accommodations, and all other required regulatory documentation in compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL) requirements and company policies. Serve as a primary point of contact for participant families and prospective families regarding admissions, program information, scheduling, concerns, care coordination, and ongoing communication regarding participant well‑being and engagement. Coordinate medication documentation and communication with families and healthcare providers to ensure Medication Administration Records (MARs) and related documentation remain accurate, current, and compliant. Support and maintain infection prevention and control practices throughout the Adult Day Club, including monitoring cleanliness, sanitation procedures, participant wellness precautions, and adherence to applicable health and safety protocols. Ensure the Adult Day Club environment remains organized, safe, clean, structured, and conducive to therapeutic programming and participant comfort. Order, organize, and maintain activity supplies, program materials, equipment, snacks, and inventory in accordance with budgetary guidelines and planned programming needs. Monitor program effectiveness and participant satisfaction, adapting activities and services as needed to meet changing participant needs and interests. Provide dementia‑informed support, redirection, and behavioral interventions utilizing compassion, patience, and best practices in memory care programming. Maintain confidentiality of participant information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies. Attend and participate in staff meetings, required trainings, continuing education, and company in‑services. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in recreation therapy, activities programming, gerontology, human services, or related field preferred. Experience or demonstrated interest in creative arts, crafts, music, or recreational programming is a plus, but not required. Strong ability to collaborate effectively with team members, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient in or willing to learn standard office and program technologies, including computers, tablets/iPads, Microsoft Word, email, internet‑based tools, and social media platforms.
