The center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced therapeutic and rehabilitation technologies. You will join a collaborative interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapy Assistants and physicians, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care. Our full-time staff work Monday to Friday, providing consistent and high-quality service throughout the week.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and restore muscle function.Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants during therapy sessions, ensuring the effective implementation of care plans.Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic assessments to determine patients' physical capabilities, and tailor treatment approaches as necessary.Assess patients' home environments for their rehabilitation needs, making recommendations to enhance their mobility and independence.Administer various physical therapy modalities, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and the application of physical agents.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, review, and refine care plans based on ongoing patient assessments and feedback.Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to inform ongoing patient care.Engage patients and their families in discussions about therapy treatments, strategies, and home exercise programs to promote adherence and understanding.Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants intermittently, ensuring compliance with state regulations and best practices.Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in physical therapy to deliver the best patient outcomes.Patient Population / Client FocusYou will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, fractures, tendon injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Your expertise will allow you to create tailored rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, strength, and overall function. A patient-centered philosophy ensures that therapy plans are developed collaboratively, placing significant emphasis on patient engagement and education.QualificationsA Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.A valid New York State license to practice as a Physical Therapist is essential.Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced clinical setting.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.Proficient in using electronic documentation systems for clinical record-keeping.Preferred ExperienceAt least one year of experience in physical therapy, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable.Familiarity with modern rehabilitation technology and methodologies.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
