Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Full-time position (40+ hours/week) Some weekends and on-call rotation required Overtime opportunities available Company vehicle provided Service area: Commercial customers throughout the region What You’ll Be Doing Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including: Rooftop Units (RTUs) Packaged systems Split systems Heat pumps Gas/electric equipment Ductless mini-splits VRF/VRV systems Perform preventative maintenance, seasonal inspections, and detailed system evaluations Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, controls, and airflow issues Perform diagnostics on inverter-driven and multi-zone systems Repair and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment, including: Walk-in coolers and freezers Reach-in units Ice machines Prep tables Other light commercial refrigeration equipment Identify system deficiencies and communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams Complete service documentation, job notes, and time tracking accurately and efficiently Respond to emergency service calls and provide professional solutions Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and local codes Represent Honest Air professionally on every call What You Bring Minimum 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience EPA Universal Certification required Strong troubleshooting skills in: Electrical systems Mechanical components Refrigeration systems HVAC controls Experience with commercial HVAC equipment and diagnostics Experience with VRF/VRV and ductless systems preferred Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset Own basic hand tools Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Ability to lift 40–75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments Dependable, self-motivated, and a strong team player Preferred (Not Required) Journeyman or Master HVAC License OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification Sales or lead-generation experience Why Honest Air?
