Description

The S&OP Analyst supports the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by developing analytics, preparing executive-level reporting, coordinating cross-functional planning activities, and facilitating collaboration across the organization. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting supply chain, inventory, demand, and operational data to support informed business decisions.

The S&OP Analyst serves as a key business partner to Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Purchasing, Product Marketing, Finance, Transportation, and Distribution teams. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly S&OP process by coordinating meetings, agendas, action items, and follow-up activities.
• Schedule and facilitate recurring planning meetings with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations and reporting packages for Demand Review, Supply Review, Inventory Review, and Executive S&OP meetings.
• Analyze demand, supply, inventory, service, and financial performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs to improve visibility into supply chain and business performance.

Additional Responsibilities

• Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams to evaluate forecast accuracy, inventory levels, service performance, and supply constraints.
• Perform root-cause analysis to explain forecast variances, inventory issues, service failures, and operational performance gaps.
• Challenge assumptions and provide fact-based recommendations to improve planning decisions and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business intelligence related to promotions, new product introductions, customer initiatives, supply disruptions, and market trends.

Continued Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of scenario planning and "what-if" analyses to support inventory, service level, and supply chain decisions.
• Monitor inventory health metrics, including excess inventory, slow-moving inventory, stock-outs, and inventory turns.
• Support the development and maintenance of S&OP reporting tools, planning models, and process documentation.
• Track action items and ensure accountability for commitments made during planning meetings.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning processes, data quality, reporting automation, and system enhancements.
• Support executive communications by translating complex data into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
• Build strong working relationships across Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Logistics, Finance, Business Analytics, or related functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and identify actionable insights.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, lookups, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience developing presentations and communicating business insights using PowerPoint.
• Ability to present data-driven recommendations to leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable facilitating meetings and interacting with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and influence decision-making through facts and analysis.
• Experience with ERP, planning, or business intelligence tools such as Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar platforms preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.
• APICS/ASCM certification or pursuit of certification is a plus.
• Experience supporting S&OP, IBP, forecasting, or inventory planning processes is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual language skills in Spanish / English are a plus
