Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit position on night shift, requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications with PCU experience.

Job Details

• PCU North unit within the main hospital, 2nd floor,
• 18-bed unit with 60 total staff,
• Day shift staffing: 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 2 PCTs; night shift staffing: 1 CNC, 4 RNs, 2 PCTs,
• Patient ratio of 4:1,
• Common procedures include post cath lab care and drip titrations,
• Uses Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, Alaris IV pumps, EKG, and BiPAP equipment,
• Charts using Meditech EMR,
• Night shift schedule, 7pm-7am,
• Works 2-3 weekend shifts per 4-week period,
• No on-call requirements,

Job Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required,
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required,
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start,
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience required,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted),
• Two professional references required for Missouri assignments,

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care nursing to patients recovering from cardiac catheterization and requiring drip titration monitoring,
• Grey scrub color required; hoodies not permitted,
• Unit recognized for quality awards including Employee of the Month and Daisy Award honors,
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
