Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Nephrology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Med/Surg experience Description: This position is located in a 198-bed facility, serving the healthcare needs of the community. The facility functions as a level III trauma center. State-of-the-art operating suites are available. Various trauma cases are flown to this facility. Healthcare services include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation. Additional services offered include a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, and inpatient behavioral health unit. The hospital features extensive imaging and lab testing services. Accreditations include PCI, mammography, and laboratory services. The facility has received recognition for its beauty and healthcare excellence. This location is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, rivers, and outdoor activities. Residents enjoy opportunities for hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing. Unit Information: The nephrology unit is an extension of the medical/surgical units. Experience in observation units is a plus. Common diagnoses and treatments include End-Stage Renal Disease, peritoneal dialysis, and hemodialysis. The patient population includes geriatrics and adults. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 to 1:6. Key equipment includes vital sign machines, bladder scanners, lifts, thermal imaging, and IV pumps/tubes. The facility utilizes an electronic health record system for patient management.
