About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Global Sourcing to lead a team in the development and implementation of overseas sourcing strategies, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the creation of buy plans, managing the global quality assurance and compliance teams, and overseeing the overseas offices. This role requires a hands-on managerial style, with a focus on achieving targeted gross margins, and demands a high level of experience in home textiles, particularly in a highly intensive SKU environment. Applicants must have a minimum of 10-15 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in directing a global sourcing team and purchasing products. The role involves direct management of quality control functions, AQL auditing, and experience in dealing with retail customers' quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have a technical understanding of textile printing processes, fabrications, and construction, as well as experience in costing and margin analysis. Strong negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to travel to overseas factories and manage ethical standards within the factory base. Experience in sourcing goods for mass market retailers and a background in managing an overseas office are also key qualifications for this position.
