As a Process Analyst, you will work closely with experienced team members to map processes, analyze data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This entry-level role is designed to build foundational skills in process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and professional communication, providing a pathway for growth within the Process Improvement team.ResponsibilitiesCreate and interpret process maps (such as SIPOC, swimlane diagrams) using organizational standards and tools; accurately capture process steps, roles, handoffs, and decision pointsParticipate in pain point analysis sessions, capturing and categorizing process inefficiencies and frustrations; apply Lean principles to identify improvement opportunitiesAssist in the application of basic root cause analysis techniques (such as 5 Whys) to understand underlying drivers of process issuesContribute to brainstorming sessions for potential solutions, focusing on identifying and articulating clear actions and anticipated benefitsAssist with the collection and analysis of relevant process data (cycle times, volumes, error rates) to support problem definition and solution validationDraft and organize key process improvement artifacts, such as problem statements, current state analyses, solution outlines, and implementation plans, adhering to organizational templates and quality standardsActively listen to stakeholders, ask clarifying and probing questions, and synthesize diverse perspectives to support effective communication and stakeholder engagementBegin developing facilitation skills for small group discussions or presenting findings on process segments or quick win proposalsCollaborate proactively with process owners, subject matter experts, and the Process Excellence team to support cross-functional initiativesDemonstrate adaptability, openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn new tools and concepts rapidlyExhibit professionalism in all interactions, proactively seek opportunities to contribute, manage time effectively, and take ownership of assigned tasksRequirements2+ years of full-time work experienceTraining or exposure to Business Process Management (BPM) tools and methodologies; adherence to established standards and proceduresExperience or training in process mapping, modeling, and reengineering, including mapping current and ideal processes and identifying improvement opportunitiesExposure to process improvement, consulting basics, and participation in team-based problem-solvingBasic facilitation skills and ability to overcome simple obstacles in meetingsDemonstrated ability to work well with others, share ideas, and show initiative in team settingsFamiliarity with process flow diagrams and basic process design conceptsStrong documentation skills and attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving mindset, with a willingness to learn and adaptIncorporate appropriate security and data privacy safeguards into work activities, communications and deliverables to protect sensitive, confidential and regulated informationBachelor's in Business, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Operations ManagementRecommended QualificationsTraining or coursework in Lean, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management (BPM)Experience with process mapping tools (such as Microsoft Visio, LucidChart)Exposure to data collection and analysis for process improvementExperience working in a collaborative, team-based environmentTotal RewardsEsri's competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
