Insurance Defense AttorneyWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team in a hybrid capacity. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, including personal injury, general liability, premises liability, and construction defect claims. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with exceptional litigation and case management skills, and a strong understanding of California civil procedure.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Manage a full caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolutionConduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responsesTake and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnessesAttend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials (virtually or in person, as needed)Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop case strategiesCommunicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counselNegotiate settlements and provide recommendations for case resolutionMaintain accurate case records and billing in accordance with firm/client guidelinesQualificationsQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive and in good standing with the California State Bar3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and organizational abilitiesProficient in case management software and legal research toolsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environmentAdditional InformationCompetitive compensation and benefits packageSupportive and collaborative team culture
