Key Responsibilities Provide individualized assessment and counseling sessions to clients in an outpatient setting, ensuring that all interactions are conducted with sensitivity and confidentiality. Actively engage as an advocate for clients by assisting them in navigating community resources and support systems that can facilitate their overall well-being. Deliver immediate support and interventions during crisis situations, prioritizing client safety and stability. Maintain detailed and accurate client records, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to legal and ethical standards. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses, to plan and implement comprehensive treatment strategies. Educate clients on valuable coping mechanisms, effective communication skills, and self-care strategies to empower them towards managing their mental health autonomously. Participate in community outreach and networking events to enhance referral resources and bolster community partnerships. Patient Population / Client Focus In your role, you will work with a diverse array of clients dealing with various mental health concerns, such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and interpersonal relationship challenges. Your contributions will help clients not only navigate their immediate situations but also set a foundation for long-term mental health stability. This role emphasizes holistic care approaches and aims at fostering resilience and recovery in a supportive environment. Qualifications Possession of a current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas. A minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field from an accredited institution. At least four years of experience providing direct clinical services, with a focus on outpatient mental health treatment. Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Strong interpersonal communication skills, with a commitment to ethical and confidential therapeutic practices. Proficient in utilizing electronic health records and telehealth platforms to enhance patient care delivery. Preferred Experience Prior experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic. A background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care practices is strongly preferred. Experience working with team-based approaches in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
