The Opportunity As General Manager, you will oversee every aspect of restaurant operations while fostering a culture where hospitality, accountability, and excellence define every shift. You will work alongside an exceptional culinary team to deliver one of Charleston’s finest dining experiences. Responsibilities Champion an uncompromising culture of hospitality where every guest feels recognized, valued, and welcomed. Lead the restaurant floor with confidence, presence, and attention to every detail. Inspire, mentor, and develop a team dedicated to delivering world‑class service. Recruit and retain exceptional hospitality professionals. Anticipate guest needs while resolving concerns with grace, professionalism, and urgency. Maintain impeccable standards of service, cleanliness, organization, and operational execution. Drive financial performance through strategic leadership, labor management, and operational efficiency. Oversee scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and daily operations while protecting profitability. Collaborate closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless execution between the dining room and kitchen. Analyze key performance indicators and guest feedback to continually elevate the dining experience. Represent The Lick within the Charleston community with professionalism and pride. Qualifications Five or more years of progressive restaurant leadership experience, including successful tenure as a General Manager. Experience leading an upscale, luxury, steakhouse, or fine dining concept preferred. Demonstrated excellence in guest relations and service recovery. Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and retain top hospitality talent. Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and labor optimization. Calm, confident leadership in a high‑volume, service‑driven environment. Impeccable communication skills and polished professional presence.
