Part-time Development Associate

Position Summary Performs and assists with development duties, including planning, coordinating, and implementing effective Agency fundraising efforts, as well as planning and creating social media content and distribution, under the supervision of the Director of Operations. Reports to: Director of Operations Job Type: Part -Time Prepares written and oral reports as requested Assists with the development, coordination, execution, and evaluation of special events Enters donor information into the donor database Runs reports from the donor database when requested Uses web-based tools to create informational and promotional materials for posting and distribution via digital platforms Responsible for posting on ECFA’s social media sites on a regular basis, which includes but not limited to Facebook and Instagram Writes and sends e-newsletters through MailChimp at least twice a month Assists with contacting churches, donors, businesses, and foundations to promote special events Assists with the procurement of prizes, items, and sponsors for Agency activities/events. Coordinates with various vendors, media, volunteers, and suppliers Shares about the Agency to public and private groups as needed Attends support staff meetings Actively participates in individual supervision Attends agency-wide staff meetings when possible Attends and participates in the Development Committee meetings Assists with agency deposits (donations made to ECFA) Thanks donors via cards and phone calls Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred Experience: 1 year of event and digital content experience preferred A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and general office equipment A strong knowledge of posting to social media platforms or a willingness to learn A strong knowledge of editing tools like Canva or Adobe or a willingness to learn Must have reliable transportation Must have a valid Driver’s License Must have valid Auto Insurance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Ability to build positive working relationships Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Ability to utilize supervision well Ability to receive feedback about job performance Physical and Environmental Requirements Ability to stand for at least 30 minutes Ability to lift up to 20lbs Work Schedule / Hours This position is up to 20 hours per week. Hours will fall primarily between 8:30am and 4:30pm, between Monday through Friday. Exact days and hours will be set with the supervisor Evening and weekend hours will be needed for meetings and events This is primarily an office-based position with work-from-home potential Mission and Values Alignment Agrees with and signs ECFA's Statement of Faith.
