We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiology Pediatric Physician Assistant to deliver exceptional care in our renowned Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This high-acuity, nationally recognized facility provides advanced pediatric cardiac care, including heart failure management and transplantation. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex pediatric cardiac cases, perform vital bedside procedures, and contribute to cutting-edge treatments like ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and pediatric transplants. Your expertise will directly impact the recovery and outcomes of our most vulnerable patients.


Required Skills:

• Certification in Critical Care (BC Critical Care Certification preferred)
• Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (APP) licensure
• Proven experience in pediatric cardiac critical care
• Ability to independently perform bedside procedures, including chest tube and cardiac line removal
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices (PediMag, CentriMag, HeartMate 3, Impella)
• Familiarity with ECMO and renal replacement therapies
• Prior experience in a pediatric cardiac ICU or transplant setting
• Knowledge of electrophysiology and pacemaker management

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
• At least 2 years of pediatric critical care experience, preferably in a cardiac setting
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work day shifts (Monday through Friday, 07 00)
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
• Valid state licensure and certifications
• Travel and other reimbursements provided when applicable

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $170.43
