Job Description
Our top mortgage client is seeking a Final Docs Coordinator to join their mortgage operations team in San Diego. This is a production‑based role that plays a critical part in the post‑closing process by ensuring final loan documents are accurately identified, organized, and delivered to the appropriate investors or banks.
The Final Docs Coordinator will work hands‑on with physical mortgage files, incoming mail, and shipping materials. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, dependable, and comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast‑paced office environment. Accuracy, organization, and adherence to established procedures are essential, as this position supports compliance and timely loan funding.
This is a fully onsite role and does not involve remote work.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Open, sort, and process incoming FedEx and mailed loan document packages
- Review closed loan files to identify required final documents
- Access Encompass to determine the correct investor or bank for each loan
- Organize, label, and prepare document packages for outbound shipping
- Ship final documents to investors and banks using FedEx or other carriers
- Track outgoing files to ensure accurate and timely delivery
- Maintain basic logs or checklists to confirm document completion
- Follow established procedures to ensure secure and compliant document handling
Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience working in an office environment
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, repetitive, production‑driven role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Basic computer skills, including system navigation and data lookups
