Step into an impactful opportunity providing occupational therapy services in a supportive school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This rewarding contract role, located near Clarks Summit, PA, involves working three days each week at a dedicated school site in the Dallas area. You will assist students in overcoming barriers to learning, support individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborate closely with engaged educators and families.
Successful candidates will demonstrate clinical expertise and a passion for school-based therapy, bringing creativity and care to address students' functional and academic needs.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Prior experience working in a school setting preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student populations
- Creative problem-solving and resourceful approach
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges
- Conduct assessments to develop, implement, and monitor student-centered treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Document all services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school district and legal requirements
- Contribute to IEP meetings and share expertise to inform educational programming
- Encourage student independence in daily school routines and classroom activities
