Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and establish personalized treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery and fostering resilience in clients.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, aiding patients in processing their trauma experiences, building coping strategies, and promoting holistic healing.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated, comprehensive care for patients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and holistic care.

• Educate patients and their families about understanding trauma responses, developing coping mechanisms, and leveraging available community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary client population includes individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, such as physical or emotional abuse, accidents, and natural disasters. Many of our patients present symptoms related to PTSD, complex trauma, and associated mental health challenges. As a clinician, you will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journeys and assisting them in rebuilding their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure professional experience is preferred, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Strong understanding and knowledge of trauma-related disorders, associated treatment modalities, and resilience-building practices.

• Proven experience in implementing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Adeptness in handling high-stress situations with professionalism and composure.

• Technical proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is the baseline requirement, candidates with additional certifications or training in trauma therapies such as EMDR or TF-CBT will be viewed positively. Familiarity with trauma-related group therapies and community resource networking is also advantageous.
