Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ unique trauma histories and inform the development of personalized treatment strategies.

• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that target trauma recovery and resilience, adapting as needed to fit each client's evolving needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping skills.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process trauma and share experiences.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other specialists to create an integrated approach to mental health care, ensuring comprehensive support for each client.

• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on understanding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to support recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client documentation in adherence to legal requirements and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to emotional, physical, and sexual trauma. Your expertise will empower clients to understand their trauma responses, learn effective coping skills, and work towards healing. Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
