Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine personalized treatment strategies.

• Develop, implement, and continually assess individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions that enable patients to process their trauma, cultivate coping mechanisms, and enhance their overall emotional regulation.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care tailored to each patient's needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to bolster community support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in adherence with legal and ethical standards, contributing to the safe management of patient data.

• Participate actively in case consultations and staff meetings focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices within the center.

• Engage in continuous professional development to remain informed on the latest research and clinical practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals affected by trauma, including those struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients often come from diverse backgrounds, and as their therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping them navigate the complexities of their mental health challenges. Your empathetic support and treatment efforts will directly influence their capacity for recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused therapies.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and strategies for building resilience.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that foster a compassionate, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship.

• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
