Senior Tax Accountant

We are a local full service CPA with offices in West Des Moines and Perry and have been in business for over 40 years. Agriculture, Construction &Contractors, Real Estate, Manufacturing & Distribution, and Closely held businesses are the industries we service.

What You Will Be Doing

Works with the tax team to prepare and learn to review tax returns
Handles routine client tax questions, and works with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance
Completes research and other special assignments/tasks as needed
Recognizes and informs senior management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients
Ensures professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate
Stays informed about firm capabilities other than tax compliance area, and promotes these activities to clients when appropriate

What You Need for this Position

5+ years in public accounting with an emphasis in taxation 
Experienced with both individual and entity tax 
CPA license or CPA-eligible 
B.S in Accounting or related degree
Masters in Taxation strongly preferred
