Project Manager Trading & Analytics

The Project Manager will be part of a team dedicated to supporting the business initiatives. This position requires a solid command of project management processes, business analysis and project lifecycle methodology. The qualified candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate analysis and issue resolution across multiple business groups and technology partners.


Role and Key Responsibilities:
• Working with business and systems partners to identify stakeholders, develop a project plan, document business requirements, use cases, UAT strategy and test plan
• Managing a comprehensive, integrated project plan
• Financial management of the project
• Support for HR requests from PEO provider
• Facilitation of risk management planning and mitigation strategies
• Working with Product Management/Middle Office/Trade Support/Core Operations/Compliance/Risk to ensure all business requirements and impacts are accounted for
• Creating and contributing to regular project status/health of initiatives reporting
• Oversight of user acceptance testing
• Ability to work in an ambiguous and entrepreneurial environment where priorities and objectives can change
• Ability to present to clients, senior executives and peers with equal ease


Qualifications - Education, Experience & Skills
• BS or BA degree required
• 5 -8 years of direct project management experience - Trading application project work required
• 3-5 years' experience with trading and operations preferred
• Experience in developing and leading projects across multiple business units from initiation to completion, on-time, in-scope and on-budget
• Demonstrated track record of project execution
• Strong communication and presentation skills; solid negotiation ability and willingness to build consensus across business lines
• Solid analytical skills; ability to diagnose and recommend process improvements
• Knowledge of general US Equity industry and market structure dynamics a plus
• Exposure to equity trading technology, including systems using the FIX protocol, Order Management Systems, Alternative Trading Systems, and Smart Order Routing applications would be a plus
