This role generates group room and event revenue, prospects new business, and builds relationships with meeting planners, associations, and corporate accounts. The Group Sales Manager contributes directly to group revenue, market share, and the positioning of LionGrove's managed properties. Through strong sales execution and relationship building, this position grows the group business across the portfolio.Qualification StandardsRequired Qualifications• Associates or bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.• Two or more years of hotel group sales experience, including leadership.• Proven record of achieving group revenue targets.• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Language requirements are confirmed by property at the time of posting.Preferred Qualifications• Multi-property or area sales experience.• Established relationships in key group markets.• Experience with sales and revenue systems.Physical Requirements• Sit and work at a computer for the majority of the workday.• Perform repetitive keyboard and phone tasks.• Occasionally move throughout the property for meetings and site visits.• Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.Location and Work ArrangementLocation: Onsite. Based at an assigned LionGrove property, with responsibility across LionGrove's managed properties.Schedule Considerations: Requires availability primarily during business hours, with evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events, groups, and deadlines.Travel Requirements: Approximately 30% travel, including regular travel between LionGrove's managed properties and non-local travel for sales calls, trade shows, and industry events, which may require overnight stays and air travel. A valid driver's license and insurable driving record are required.Duties and Functions• Drive group sales revenue and performance for LionGrove's managed properties.• Develop and execute the group sales plan and forecasts for assigned accounts and segments.• Prospect and secure new group business from planners, associations, and corporate accounts.• Build and maintain relationships with planners, associations, and key accounts.• Conduct sales calls, site visits, and represent the properties at trade shows.• Negotiate group contracts within approved guidelines.• Partner with Revenue and Conference Services on pricing, handoff, and event execution.• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and grow share.• Ensure accurate use of the sales system, pipeline tracking, and reporting.• Collaborate across the portfolio to cross-sell multiple LionGrove properties.• Perform other duties as requested by management.We believe that every team member plays a vital role in our success.
