Member Specialist

Position Summary Provide member service, maintain checkout area, resolve member issues, promote Sam's Club products and services, support members on self‑service technology, process purchases, manage payments, returns, refunds, exchanges, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities Maintain the checkout, entrance, and exit areas, ensuring a safe and organized shopping environment. Verify membership cards, acknowledge members, and assist with purchasing decisions. Locate and arrange merchandise, identify shrink and damages, and maintain proper merchandising zones. Handle merchandise returns, follow proper procedures, and report unsafe situations. Assist with member payments, refunds, and exchanges per company policies. Execute emergency response procedures, maintain documentation, and report potential security incidents. Train new associates on processes, technology, and program rollouts; provide ongoing learning and process improvement opportunities. Collaborate with managers, co‑workers, and partners to identify priorities, meet deadlines, communicate progress, and suggest improvement opportunities. Compensation The hourly wage range is $19.00 to $27.00, meeting or exceeding the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Minimum Qualifications Retail experience, including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register). Experience working with mobile retail applications.
