We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide safe, compassionate nursing care to acutely ill and emergency patients across all age groups.

The ER RN will use clinical judgment, critical thinking, prioritization, and strong assessment skills to manage multiple patients and respond effectively to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Triage patients and determine priority of care.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
• Administer medications safely according to hospital policies.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias using ACLS/PALS protocols.
• Perform routine and complex nursing treatments and procedures.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current Iowa RN license or valid multistate/compact RN license allowing practice in Iowa.
• BLS required
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required or must be obtained within the specified timeframe.
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certificates.
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.
• 6–12 months of Medical-Surgical or Critical Care RN experience is helpful.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment.
