Facility Manager Reports to the Regional Operations Area Manager and oversees all aspects of facility safety, environmental, operations, maintenance, outage and project planning, engineering, procurement, lean/continuous improvement, client relationships, and financial performance. Responsibilities Provide exceptional leadership to develop and sustain a high‑performing culture, consistently achieving or exceeding operational budget commitments. Develop O&M budgets, forecasts and long‑term maintenance plans to maximize operational excellence and P&L/EBITDA/FCF contributions. Use data and experiential guidance to make conservative decisions that ensure safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally responsible plant operations. Oversee all end‑to‑end O&M activities for receiving, processing and thermally treating incoming waste, and managing by‑product removal. Manage O&M for boilers, turbine generators, metals systems, ash handling systems and BOP auxiliary systems. Ensure safe and environmentally responsible operations, promoting effective Health, Safety and Environmental programs and practices. Coordinate outages and maintenance planning, utilizing regional and corporate resources to maximize effectiveness. Lead site operations to consistently meet or exceed business objectives and the Annual Operating Plan. Maintain cost effectiveness through aggressive productivity and asset management. Develop long‑term maintenance, staffing, operational and budgetary plans. Execute strategies to increase operational discipline, productivity, quality, reliability and employee engagement/retention. Champion Six Sigma/Lean tools, driving plant improvement and implementing strategic initiatives related to inventory, capacity utilization and growth opportunities. Represent Reworld in local government, community and industry groups, developing relationships with key clients. Build positive working relationships within the global organization and serve as the point‑of‑contact for broader company initiatives. Improve and develop organizational capabilities through effective performance management and resource utilization. Drive cultural change, accountability and continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization. Develop and maintain an effective site leadership team. Motivate the team to encourage personal and professional growth by setting goals and objectives for all functional areas. Champion programs that address employee satisfaction, training, communications, technology transfer, process improvement and departmental structure to support operating and strategic goals. Required Qualifications 5–10 years of progressive experience in power plant or manufacturing, ideally with power generation and/or material handling. In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, project planning, cost control and program management. Experience with Six Sigma tools; Lean, Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred. Proven success in implementing HS&E programs and business initiatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and interact effectively at all levels. Prior management experience in a specialty chemical plant or other industrial facilities with significant material handling, coal‑fired power plant or WTE environment. Strong leadership skills as a team player‐builder and driver of value‑added results. Strong internal and external communication and team‑building skills. Ability to recognize and leverage the unique talents, perspectives and experiences of others to achieve results and develop capabilities at all levels. Experience in building or rebuilding process/systems‑focused structures. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Physical Demands Frequently ascends or descends ladders, stairs, elevated walkways, ramps, using feet, legs and/or hands and arms. Frequently lifts or moves up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 pounds. Work near and around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment, frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations.
