Sales Planning and Field Effectiveness, Associate Director

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director to lead incentive compensation, sales planning, and field effectiveness initiatives in Boston. The role bridges brand strategy with field execution through analytics, targeting optimization, and cross-functional partnership to enhance commercial performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage incentive compensation plans including goal setting, data processing, and payout administration
- Support targeting and call planning using customer data and field insights to improve prioritization
- Develop IC contests and awards programs aligned with business objectives
- Maintain processes, timelines, and documentation for accurate, compliant delivery across commercial operations
- Collaborate with IT, Data Management, CRM, Sales Leadership, and external vendors on operational execution
Requirements
- 8+ years commercial operations, sales operations, data management, or analytics experience
- 5+ years pharmaceutical incentive compensation design and delivery
- Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, analytics, or related field
- Expertise in pharmaceutical IC design, data sources, and compliance
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with business translation ability
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, IC systems, and performance reporting tools
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Compensation: $156,000 - $234,000 base
