Part-Time Shuttle Bus Driver (Wheelchair Lift Experience Required) Allegria Village – Dearborn, MI Allegria Village, a vibrant senior living community in Dearborn, is seeking aPart-Time Shuttle Bus Driver to join our transportation team. This role is ideal for a safety-focused, service-oriented driver with experience assisting passengers with mobility needs, including wheelchair lift operation. Schedule: Part-time hours Must be available to work Saturdays Flexibility to work additional hours, up to full-time, based on community needs Important: This is a passenger transportation role serving seniors. It is not a delivery, rideshare, or freight driving position . Key Responsibilities Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, and community outings Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including safe operation of a wheelchair lift Provide hands- on support with wheelchairs, walkers, and personal belongings Ensure vehicles are clean, well- maintained, and ready for daily use Complete transportation logs and promptly report any issues Deliver courteous, respectful, and professional service at all times Required Qualifications Valid Michigan Driver’s License and Chauffeur’s License Experience operating a wheelchair lift and transporting passengers with mobility challenges Minimum 2 years of relevant driving experience (senior living, healthcare, or passenger transport) Strong safety record and attention to detail Reliable, patient, and professional demeanor Preferred Qualifications Experience driving a shuttle bus or passenger van Background in senior living, healthcare, or assisted transportation services Familiarity with mobility assistance equipment and best practices If you are a dependable driver who takes pride in providing safe, compassionate service—and havehands-on wheelchair lift experience,we encourage you to apply.
