Junior Staff Accountant

Description Safely and effectively manage all aspects of the office operations for the Division in an efficient manner and prepare worksheets, reconciliations and journal entries related to Company transactions on an as needed basis. Pet Insurance Duties and Responsibilities Assist in Month-End Closing and other accounting related functions Perform miscellaneous AP functions, including printing checks, upload positive pay bank files and send the AP check registers to related parties as necessary Perform monthly product code updates and generate customer rebates, and other related duties Review reporting and charges related to transactions with Management for approvals Prepares weekly sales reports Perform monthly entry and/or review of ERP transaction related to Company activity, including verification and performing monthly closing procedures Analyze, reconcile and generate inventory report Generate reporting and perform periodic reviews of transactions related to raw material volumes, customer invoicing, and raw material customer payments. Resolve any reporting differences. Perform and/or assist in preparing worksheets, reconciliations, and/or journal entries in connection with Company transactions Verify vehicle expense reporting to Company’s internal vehicle reporting system Generate financial reports using an integrated system Prepare periodic filing related to business operations Maintain inventory supplies for office Analyze account balances for variances and prepare account reconciliations Interact with others in a professional manner Follow department and Company procedures Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business Keep up regular attendance and punctuality. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of the Company. Requirements Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Certifications, Education, Experience and Travel Requirements Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Certifications, Education, Experience and Travel Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting or Finance 2-3 Year Experience in Accounting Experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables) Strong written and oral communication skills Must have excellent work ethic, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done Less than 5% travel required Physical Demands/Requirements Constantly (over 2/3): Operates computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printer. Remain in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time Review documents, organize data and detect accuracy of information Frequently (1/3-2/3): Moves throughout office accessing files, office machinery, etc. Communicates with co-workers and exchanges accurate information in-person, telephonically and via electronic devices/e-mail Occasionally (under 1/3): Moves materials or documents up to 25 lbs About Baker Commodities, Inc.
