Learn more about this agency Duties Help Serves as a Software Developer to design, program, build, deploy, and maintain software, ensuring systems remain functional and secure. Develops software testing and validation procedures, writes secure code, performs quality assurance testing, and applies cybersecurity functions to reduce exploitation. Applies coding and testing standards, conducts code reviews, writes program documentation, and confers with analysts and engineers to design and correct applications. Leads technical studies, performs in-depth target and technical analysis for exploitation activities, and applies authorized cyber capabilities to access targeted networks. Qualifications Basic Requirements: Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs Oral Communication - briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. Qualifying Experience: Qualifying experience is described as experience such as: designing, building, or maintaining software; developing software system testing and validation procedures; or conducting technical analysis for target infrastructure exploitation and adversarial threat simulation activities. In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Designing, building, or maintaining software; or developing software system testing and validation procedures; or conducting technical analysis for target infrastructure exploitation activities. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Salary range includes a Targeted Local Market Supplement (TLMS) in accordance with Section 1599f of Title 10 U.S.C. and Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 1400.25, Volume 3006. A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service. Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement.
