Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Position Overview

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various clinical settings. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory conditions and ensuring optimal respiratory function through various therapeutic techniques and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care to patients requiring respiratory support.
• Perform diagnostic tests and assessments to evaluate respiratory function.
• Administer inhalation therapies, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments.
• Maintain and manage respiratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and management strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in facility floating as needed, which may include assignments at various locations within the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained.
• Active Ohio RRT license is required at the time of application.
• Ability to work weekends and float to multiple locations as needed.

Work Schedule

This position typically requires night shifts, covering three 12-hour shifts per week (18:30 - 07:00).
