We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Specialist to join our customer's North American team in Plano, Texas. You will leverage your expertise in enterprise software, particularly the IBM software portfolio, licensing and deployment models, to lead customer engagements and support the delivery of technical pre-sales solutions. Working closely with sales, operations and subject matter experts, you will help customers understand the value of enterprise software support and maintenance services while ensuring a seamless transition from sales opportunity to customer onboarding.

Key responsibilities & duties include:

• Lead consultative customer engagements to understand client support needs, product strategies and challenges
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations demonstrating the value of support and maintenance services
• Analyse IBM, HCL and VMware support case histories to identify trends, pain points and opportunities
• Manage technical pre-sales activities and coordinate with internal subject matter experts
• Build trusted relationships with client application and platform owners
• Support sales teams with complex technical and contractual queries
• Provide product support guidance, education and mentoring to internal operational teams
• Collaborate with sales, operations and contract management teams to ensure successful customer outcomes
• Maintain accurate technical deal information within the CRM system
• Support the transition from sales opportunity through to customer onboarding
• Verify product and licensing eligibility for support
• Identify risks and contribute to continuous improvements across pre-sales and customer engagement processes
• Share market intelligence, customer insights and relevant IBM product updates with internal teams

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, customer success or IT consulting
• Strong cross-industry knowledge of IBM software products
• Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic, commercially minded approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Experience supporting complex customer engagements and technical sales opportunities
