CPA Firm Bookkeeping Manager

Accounting Manager - Hybrid Schedule AvaialbleA well-established, thriving regional CPA firm in West Los Angeles is in need of an Accounting Manager to focus on client accounting, covering full charge bookkeeping, trial balance, payroll, KPI reporting, and more for a variety of dynamic clients. Managers handle business development and participate in client proposals.ResponsibilitiesSupervise multiple engagement teams to ensure work meets scope, such as:Managing bank, vendor, and payroll recordsPreparing period-end packages per accounting standardsAssisting clients with budgets, forecasts, or dashboardsEnsure client timelines are met and maintain communicationInteract with clients regularly or delegate to team membersMonitor engagement budgets and control overrunsInvoice clients monthly and manage receivablesProvide team training and support business developmentQualifications/Requirements7-10 years' accounting experience as a manager or equivalentExpertise in double entry accounting and U.S. GAAPKnowledge of taxation matters and a bachelor’s degree in accountingFluency in English and ability to travel as neededStrong excel skills and proficiency in accounting softwareProblem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a teamOvertime work may be requiredPreferred qualificationsExperience with accounting software like Xero, Intacct, or NetSuiteBi-lingual or second language proficiencySpecialized accounting knowledge or CPA license
