• 3 × 12-hour shifts
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide essential healthcare services in a secure correctional healthcare environment.

The LPN will work under the direction of an RN and provide medication administration, health screenings, clinical care, emergency response, and accurate documentation while maintaining facility safety and security protocols.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Administer medications, including controlled substances, according to facility protocols.
• Monitor medication compliance and patient responses.
• Obtain vital signs and perform physical assessments and health screenings.
• Provide wound care and other routine clinical services.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies within the facility.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow correctional healthcare regulations and strict security protocols.
• Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards at all times.
• Provide professional and compassionate care to a diverse offender population.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Training:

• Nursing education required for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.

Certification & Licensure:

• Current, valid New York State LPN License or Limited Permit — Required .

Experience & Skills:

• Experience in medical-surgical, ambulatory care, or mental health — Preferred .
• Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional healthcare environment.
• Ability to work with a diverse offender population.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Ability to follow facility safety, security, and healthcare protocols.

• Current, valid New York State LPN license or limited permit is required .
• Experience in medical-surgical, ambulatory care, or mental health is preferred.
• In-person interview at 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday is mandatory.
• Phone or online interviews will not be permitted.
• Candidates must be able to accommodate the mandatory in-person interview requirement.
• Candidate must clear the required state criminal history screening before starting.
• Criminal history clearance may take up to 4 weeks .
• Correctional healthcare setting.
• 12-hour day shifts.
• 36 hours per week.
• Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM .
